The Governor announced phase 2 of the reopening of Texas on Monday. Greg Abbott says the state is moving forward with more tests, and more businesses are ready to open their doors to get the economy going again.
Texas House Speaker Dennis Bonnen is a member of the Governor’s COVID Task Force. He says it’s important for businesses to show that they’re following the guidelines for social distancing, to make sure that their customers feel safe.
Bonnen also says business owners need to make sure that workers are wearing facemasks in public, so the consumer can feel confident to go back out and get the economy where it used to be before COVID-19. He also says it’s a delicate balance.
