Bonnen and Hasty discussed President Donald Trump’s plan to return life back to normal throughout the nation, as well as in Texas.
While speaking about the president’s plan during the interview, Bonnen said,
I see it as a road map to governors and the states on how to reopen their states to business and to get these economies kicked back off, which needs to happen. He left great guidelines with great discretion to the state. That will have a very positive impact for Texas because as you know, Governor Abbott has not been afraid to lead during this time of crisis. And it gives our governor, working with Lieutenant Governor Patrick and myself and other leaders, the guidelines and the decision making [latitude] to get Texas back to work.
