Get Texans Back To Work

Get Texans Back To Work

I had the chance to discuss our state's ongoing efforts to get Texans back to work while following medically-approved best practices including hand washing, sanitizing, social distancing and mask-wearing.

In an interview with the good people at KXYL in Brownwood, I had the chance to discuss our state’s ongoing efforts to get Texans back to work while following medically-approved best practices including hand washing, sanitizing, social distancing and mask-wearing.

In addition, we touched on the strike teams that the governor is sending into likely hotspots like nursing homes and meat processing plants to accelerate diagnosis, isolation and treatment.

As I’ve been saying all along, the key to our success is the decision by every individual Texan to adopt those best practices because they care about their fellow human beings. Attempts to reframe the conversation as a matter of personal freedom is not only missing the point entirely, it puts individual Texans and our eventual economic recovery at risk.

Let’s work together to whip this thing and get Texans back to work.

Originally aired on KXYL, Brownwood, TX.
