Speaker Dennis Bonnen joined Austin radio legend Bob Cole on the air to discuss Gov. Abbott’s efforts to push back on misguided local leaders who are driving the process of defunding police.
Key among his concerns is the fact that fewer officers means longer response times to intervene on behalf of victims and the potentially deadly hesitations caused by leaders who have made it clear they’ll throw any officer under the bus in response to media scrutiny.
