My family is asking you to join us in donating to ActionS, Inc.of Brazoria County as they work tirelessly to deliver meals, groceries, and basic necessities to ALL homebound and isolated senior citizens in our county during the #COVID19 pandemic. We have pledged $10,000 to ActionS to help purchase meals, groceries, and basic necessities and hope you’ll help us match this donation. ActionS has seen the need for meals rise dramatically for our seniors from 5,500 meals per month prior to COVID-19 to going on 12,000 meals this month. You can donate online at https://www.paypal.com/us/fundraiser/charity/2264738 or by dropping off a check made payable to ActionS, Inc. at the Angleton Rec Center M-F between 10AM-2PM.If you’re unable to help financially at this time, ActionS is immediately seeking donations of groceries and basic necessities to be dropped off at the Angleton Rec Center at 1601 N. Valderas M-F between 10AM-2PM. Items needed include:Groceries, specifically:- Milk- Coffee- Lunch meats- Cheese- Bread- Canned goodsBasic necessities, including:- Cleaning supplies- Disinfecting sprays- Hand sanitizers- Toilet paper- Paper towelsIf you have questions on needed items, contact 979-849-6132.
