Austin’s Todd & Don welcomed Speaker Dennis Bonnen into their ongoing conversation about city leaders’ ongoing misguided effort to defund the Austin Police Department.
In the conversation, Bonnen sought to clarify discussions over the possibility of state engagement in local law enforcement challenges, namely the possibility of DPS assisting APD in a zone of downtown Austin and the manner in which the National Guard might be utilized in the event of election-related violence.
